Hello everyone my name is Esra, pronounced as esh-ra. I am studying Apparel and Textiles and I love to spend my time getting creative! I am looking forward to showcase my cool designs with Beringei!
Today I started my first sketch book! I went through old magazines and cut out some pictures that captured my eye. This was for one of my classes, but I will also be adding things in my sketch book to inspire me on future design I decide to create!

During the summer of 2021, I had the honor to work with the ready to wear luxury brand: Born In Exile. The role I took on was creating technical flats, which are pencil sketches changed into a digital sketch using Adobe. I enjoyed this internship since I got to see their fall 2020 collection first lol and I saw my true potential creating tech. flats! Below, I attached 4/20 tech flats I made.

Iris Van Herpen is one of my favorite designers because of her super cool high tech designs and how she mastered the movement of fabric! I highly recommend watching one of her fashion shows so you can see how elegantly her dresses move with the models.

I am really grateful to have found an opportunity such as Beringei, where I can spend my time getting creative and freely design! My childhood dream was to become a fashion designer, but once I got into high school I didnt see it as a realistic career and a classmate even convinced me its something I should not get into. Once I graduated high school, I couldn't think of anything to study besides fashion and I am glad I didnt give up on it!
I am fortunate to also have my family supporting me in studying fashion. My new dream is to make it into the fashion industry and make them proud! As I am still learning and developing my designing skills, I need you and everyone's help to get me there! I will be forever grateful to where I am right now: designing clothes for Beringei's fans!
