Getting started always seems to be the hardest part. I had a mentor who was a writer, and he would always say, "Just write ten sh*tty pages a day." The fear of creating something bad is something that always gets in my way. But that's the beautiful thing about art; it is ever-changing. So whatever your art form is, just get something on the paper and the inspiration will grow.

I'm a self taught designer who is new to the fashion world, but the more I create, the more I know this is what I'm supposed to be doing. Lacking formal training can sometimes feel like a death sentence, but sometimes the best way to learn is to just start doing!! There is no right or wrong way to create art, so do what works best for you.

Quilt ----> Coat
This coat was inspired by an old quilt I had sitting around my house. I thought "this quilt is wayyyy too pretty to be just a quilt, why not make it into a coat?" Just one way to create cute fashion that is also sustainable.
