Saving Clothing and The Earth
Love this graphic from the World Resources Institute - fast fashion has created and continues to create an INSANE amount of waste. Beringei gives us the chance to save some of the clothing that would be going to landfills through upcycling and re-designing. I love pushing myself creatively to work with clothing that is already in existence. It can be hard to look at an ugly sweater and see a different design, but I LOVE turning "trash" into "treasure". Brainstorming some really cool upcycled pieces I will be sharing soon!
