If you’re interested in becoming a Beringei Designer, you’ll need to apply for a designer account first. To do this, check the box during sign-up that says “Check this box to sign up as a designer”. Yep, it’s that easy! But you’re not quite done. From there, you’ll be prompted to fill out a bit of information about yourself. Give yourself a designer name, a short bio, let us know your style, and link your social media if you’d like.
Once you’ve finished the sign-up process, you’ll have the option to submit your first design. This design should be the piece you’re most proud of and most passionate about - it’s what the Beringei team will use to determine your account status. Upload as many pictures or files as you’d like of your design, and be sure to include as much information and detail as possible so the team can accurately assess your work! Add tags, what style you consider the piece to be, and a short snippet about your design process. If your design is already in a sample form, that’s great! Just click “Send us a sample” and you’ll be given a PO box to send your piece to for assessment. Click “Save” and you’re done!
From there, our team will review your submission and determine if you’d be a good fit for Beringei. No need to check back - you’ll get an email notification as soon as we’ve made a decision.
If your design was approved, congratulations! First things first, you should celebrate. After that, you’ll have full access to your designer account. With this type of account, you’ll be able to update your profile, submit collections of designs, and post to your feed. Your followers will be able to view your progress and your designs that have made it past voting. It’s completely up to you how often you upload designs and collections. Be a monthly regular, or take a few months to yourself - it’s your choice! Just note that the more often you upload quality designs, the more likely you are to be chosen for each month’s round of voting. And that’s the whole point, isn’t it?
If your design wasn’t approved, fret not. Your account will automatically default to a user account, where you can enjoy the many features of Beringei, like browsing other designers’ ideas and uploads, voting on designs and charities, and following and commenting on your favorite designers’ posts.
